In Anatomize, Anthony Argondizzo deconstructs and reimagines the concept of the painted image, transforming its components to develop a pseudo-reality that frees painting from traditional, two-dimensional restrictions. Digital reference images are recontextualized into new narratives, sculptures blur the boundaries of reality and representation, and pigment-coated objects serve as physical extensions of the brush strokes, creating a complex, discursive, and abstracted space.
